e-Salon ("we", "us", "our") is a booking platform for salons and clinics in Sri Lanka, built and operated by CMS Techno Solutions. This policy explains what information we collect when you book an appointment through e-Salon, or when you use e-Salon to run your own business, and how we use it.
Who this applies to
This policy covers two kinds of people:
- Customers who book an appointment on a business's public e-Salon booking page.
- Business owners and staff who use the e-Salon admin panel to manage their bookings, clients and messages.
Information we collect
- From customers booking an appointment: name, phone number, the service and time selected, and any optional notes you provide. We ask for your explicit consent via a checkbox before your phone number is used to send you booking messages.
- From business owners and staff: name, email address, and login credentials for the admin panel, plus any client, service, staff, and financial records you enter to run your business.
- Automatically: basic technical data such as IP address and browser type, used only for security and troubleshooting.
How we use your information
- To create, confirm, remind you about, reschedule or cancel appointments.
- To send booking-related messages via SMS or WhatsApp — confirmations, reminders, and cancellation or reschedule notices — to the phone number you provided, with your consent.
- To let a business owner manage their own clients, bookings, staff and income records inside the admin panel.
- To improve and secure the platform.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not send marketing or promotional messages to a phone number that has not separately opted in to receive them.
WhatsApp and SMS messaging
When a business uses e-Salon's WhatsApp or SMS features, booking-related messages are sent through Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform and/or an SMS provider, using the phone number you gave at the time of booking. We only use this channel for the specific booking communications described above. You can ask a business to stop messaging you at any time by replying to a message or contacting the business directly.
Who can see your information
Each business using e-Salon can only see its own customers' data — one business never sees another's clients, bookings or records. Our own staff can access data only to provide support or maintain the platform, and our infrastructure and messaging providers (hosting, SMS, and WhatsApp Business Platform) process data only as needed to deliver the service.
Data retention
We keep booking and client records for as long as a business's account is active, so they can manage their ongoing relationship with their customers. A business owner can delete a client's records from their own admin panel at any time.
Your rights
You can ask the business you booked with, or contact us directly, to access, correct, or delete your personal information. We will respond within a reasonable time.
Children
e-Salon is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "last updated" date above.
